Just had a delivery and realised no fries with burgers phoned Zim and spoke to a lovely lady and realised it was my mistake didnt read menu correctly, when we had this in the restaurant they came together. The lady hoped it wouldn't spoil our meal and was very polite and sweet. A few minutes later she called me back and told me the chef was preparing fries for us and they would be with us shortly at no charge as they didn't want to spoil our Valentines . They arrived within 10 minutes. What BRILLIANT SERVICE . THANK YOU

1st time out after easing of lockdown rules. Birthday treat. Firstly everything was set-up for social distancing well. We felt safe and the atmosphere was calming. The measures put in place were excellent. Secondly, the food and the service was amazing. Informed staff when we questioned what things were. Gorgeous food. We had a great evening and will definitely be back

My boyfriend and I ate here a few weeks ago as we came across Zim Braai and instantly wanted to experience the food and atmosphere. We arrived a bit early for our reservation but the manager, Charli, was already very accommodating and sat us immediately! She was so friendly and hilarious, and went out of her way to make sure we had the best time, from food and wine recommendations to funny conversation. We felt really looked after, especially in the midst of the world we're experiencing at the moment. The social distancing messages were effective and barely noticeable, as they'd done it so it went well with the interior style. All in all such a wonderful evening with wonderful staff. If you want to try tasty African food, incredibly helpful and accommodating staff, and an all round enjoyable night, Zim is your go to! Thank you again, Charli, for making our night so enjoyable! We'll definitely be back.

The staff are amazing here, they are so welcoming and cheerful we felt so welcomed and at home in the midst of this crisis. The social distancing is fantastic I didn't even notice other people in there! To top this off the food was incredible, well thought out. We can't wait to come back and try some more items from the menu. Thanks guys for making the start of our anniversary evening so lovely.

If you like or are interested in Southern African food, Zim Braai is the place for you. The atmosphere is one of laid back, African cool that's suitable for couples, groups and families. The food was excellent (my wife had the Ostrich Steak and I had the Chicken Cape Malay Curry as a bunny chow) and they have an extensive drinks selection, including a number of more expensive wines on the walls. I would highly recommend and we'll certainly be visiting again when we're next in Poole.
